I love to teach! Sharing knowledge and seeing that spark in someone as they try out what I’m showing them is just the best feeling. I never fail to learn something from my students.

In Person

I was lucky enough to teach an outdoor class at the Lafayette Community Garden in Lafayette, CA — the temperature soared to 98 F but we still had a blast! I shared 5 ideas that anyone can use to keep a sketchbook. I firmly believe that everyone is an artist, but this class was geared towards those who (only think) they aren’t. The 20 person class sold out.

I taught many in-person workshops at craft industry trade shows for Hero Arts. I usually taught 8-10 classes per year over the 10 years that I was there. The classes at the major shows had up to 75 students.

I also taught a watercolor workshop at a local craft store. I wish I had photos from that event but I got so caught up in teaching that I forgot to take pictures!

Online

I love how teaching online allows me to connect with people from all around the world! I do miss seeing people in person, but I’ve made online friends that I keep in touch with even after the class has finished. Hope to meet up someday!

Big Picture Classes

I currently teach online at Big Picture Classes, a monthly membership site.

Each class has 6 videos plus a written lesson:

Each of the birthday card classes also features a section with tips for using a planner to help students get the cards that they made in the mail on time.

Studio Calico

I also taught online workshops at Studio Calico for many years until they moved their cardmaking classes over to Big Picture Classes. Classes included Fall/Thanksgiving, Valentine’s Day and Christmas.

These classes have forever access so they’re still live!
